Studio Arcka is a Melbourne-based interior architecture and interior design practice.
Spanning residential, retail, workplace and hospitality, the studio approaches each project with a distinct and deliberate sensibility. Grounded in collaboration, our work explores contrast, materiality and detail—shaping spaces that feel both refined and deeply lived in.
Our Process
Collaborate
Every project begins with close dialogue — understanding how the space should feel, perform, and endure. We work alongside clients, consultants, and craftspeople from the outset, establishing a shared direction grounded in clarity and intent.
Develop
Ideas are refined with precision. Detailed design resolves every element from joinery and lighting to finishes and fixtures ensuring cohesion across the entire project.
Define
We translate brief into spatial strategy. Through concept design, material exploration, and spatial planning, we establish a clear design language — balancing architecture, atmosphere, and function.
Deliver
We guide the project through documentation, coordination, and construction, maintaining design integrity at every stage. The result is a resolved, considered environment — delivered with care and exacting attention to detail.
Services
We offer a complete interior architecture service, shaping projects from initial concept to final delivery.
Our scope includes spatial planning, material and finish selection, detailed documentation, and construction phase coordination. Beyond the built form, we curate furniture, lighting, and objects to create environments that feel layered, intentional, and complete. The result is a seamless integration of architecture and interior — designed as one.
Studio Arcka was founded by Kas Makohon
Kas has worked in the UK, Singapore, and Melbourne, with a portfolio spanning residential, hospitality, retail, and commercial interiors throughout Australia, United States, Asia, and the South Pacific. Her design approach is creative-led and technically rigorous, grounded in an understanding of both the emotional and structural dynamics of space. We don’t just deliver interiors — we shape atmospheres that resonate.
